Dim sum 點心
It's a Cantonese culinary art where everyone gathers for breakfast and share the food together. Tea is required to wash away the greasiness of the food. Dim sum is now available all day. Many people recommend this place. It's one of the world's cheapest Michelin rated restaurants. There are several branches in Hong Kong and we visited the original (first) restaurant. The setting is less traditional compared to Ling Heung Tea House and there were definitely fewer people when we went during non-peak hours. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern where you select dim sum from a green ticket (which is the menu). There isn't a wide variety to choose but there is a sheet of their specialties on each desk. The tea charge for each person is only 2HKD (less than 20p)! We tried most of the specialties (11 types of dim sum) and the total came to 224HKD (£20.50). The price is cheap but the quality is high. Whether this is Michelin or not, the dim sum were beautifully presented and delicious. Not too salty or greasy. My favourite was their famous Baked Snow Mountain Char Siu Buns. Crispy on the outside of a soft bun with meaty filling. Delicious. I recommend this place for dim sum and I'm sure we will visit there again in the future.
